Collaborate for free with an online version of Microsoft Word. Save documents in OneDrive. Share them with others and work together at the same time. Print View shows all the white space at the start and end of each page. Some of my pages are small, only 1 or 2 lines long, so it's inconvenient to have Word show me a full page of white space as I scroll up and down the document. My problem is, I can't see where the hard page breaks are. You can use it to change the number of columns without starting a new page. Starts the new section on the next even-numbered page. For example, if you insert an Even Page Break at the end of page 3, the next section will start on page 4. Starts the new section on the next odd-numbered page.

To change the default view to Draft view when a Word 2007 document is opened, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Word Options.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Under General, click to select the Allow opening a document in Draft view check box.
  4. Click OK.
  5. On the View tab, click Draft in the Document Views group.
